Forget Eating Less this January, Eat Local!
There’s never been a better time to explore all the deliciousness that San Luis Obispo has to offer. Why, you ask? It’s because the City and SLO Chamber have just launched the brand new Eat Local Bonus program, where you can get a $25 gift card to a local food or beverage establishment by showing $100 in receipts to local restaurants, coffee shops, breweries, cafés — you get the jist!
San Luis Obispo serves up an impressive menu of dining choices for a town its size, from bustling eateries to intimate bistros, innovative international fusions to farm-fresh local ingredients. The only decision you have to make is whether you’re in the mood for burrata and bread at Nate’s on Marsh, tri-tip from Firestone Grill, cocktails on the rooftop at High Bar, or a Turkish dessert from Lokum. Or hey, maybe it’s all of the above!
From January 2-31 (and while supplies last), support your favorite takeout place, coffee shop or happy hour spot or perhaps try a new one. Then, bring your receipts totalling $100 or more to the Visitor Center and get a $25 gift card just for dining locally. That’s it!
So, what are you waiting for? Whether you’re looking for a light organic breakfast to kick-start your day, a casual meal on the go or a fine-dining experience to wind down the evening, you’ll find something to savor in San Luis Obispo. Gather some friends, your appetite and save those receipts to be rewarded. We don’t expect this promotion to last long!
