The botanical garden plans to extend their breathtaking grounds to 150 acres of protected wildlife. With opportunities for education, recreation, conservation and research, the San Luis Obispo Botanical Garden offers docent-led nature tours, activities for kids, a garden shop, educational gardening classes, a concert series and many other events for San Luis Obispo’s visitors to enjoy for free.
Weddings and Events at SLO Botanical Garden
Educational and fun, the San Luis Obispo Botanical Garden provides endless events from bird walks, plant sales, an Earth Day Fest, and more. On the second Saturday of every month, enjoy educational programs for both adults and children, where speakers discuss a variety of topics with the goal of “education through exploration.” Stay up to date about all their classes and offerings by browsing their calendar of events.
Admission to San Luis Obispo Botanical Garden
Admission to San Luis Obispo Botanical Garden is $5 for adults and free for children under 12. You can buy tickets on their website, near the entrance of the gardens, or at the Gift Shop. Parking at El Chorro Regional Park is $3 April through September on weekends and holidays.

The San Luis Obispo Botanical Garden is open during daylight hours in El Chorro Regional Park. For seasonal hours, call Eve’s Garden Shop, Library offices, and the Oak Glen Pavilion (closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day).
